Irene Samuel Leadership Scholarship
Named in honour of Irene Samuel, who served as National President from 1930 to 1936, this scholarship is generously funded by her family as a lasting tribute to her legacy of leadership and service.
Each year, the scholarship enables one active member from each Section to attend NCJWC’s Annual Meeting in a city other than their own. By investing in leadership development today, NCJWC strengthens its capacity to innovate, grow, and continue its meaningful work across Canada.
Bunny Gurvey Bursary Fund
Bunny Gurvey was a past President of NCJWC and a Life Member of the International Council of Jewish Women (ICJW). In 2015, her family established the Bunny Gurvey Bursary Fund in her honour, celebrating her lifelong commitment to Jewish leadership and education.
The bursary supports NCJWC members in attending the ICJW Herczeg Jerusalem Education Seminar for Jewish Education, held in Israel every four years. The seminar offers a rich and inspiring experience, featuring interactive workshops, thought-provoking discussions, educational tours, and insights from leading speakers in the field.
